There's an ever-increasing demand for surgeons to stay current with the latest developments in cosmetic surgery trends. Among the most progressive is the "PK Technique," a termed coined ten years ago by the pioneer of this technique --globally recognized cosmetic surgery anesthesiologist, Barry L. Friedberg, MD. By dramatically decreasing the prevalence of PONV (post-operative nausea and vomiting), the anesthesia technique has accomplished three major milestones for cosmetic surgeons - (1) repeat patients --- those that want additional cosmetic surgical enhancements but were unhappy with the side-effects of their anesthesia, (2) faster recovery (no pulled stitches due to PONV reduction), and (3) increasing market share or patients as a result of being able to allay their anesthesia fears and concerns by providing the patients with a better anesthesia option.

Although this is an information web site geared to assist consumers in understanding their anesthesia options, many of the 1,000 monthly global web site visitors are physicians who visit the site after their patients tell them about it. To meet the growing need of physicians wanting to better understand this technique, this For Doctor's Only site will address more medically technical information - from testimonials to medical journal articles -- which surgeons have been requesting.

We are most eager for your feedback. If there is anything else you would like to see here on this site, please let us know at Doctorsonly@doctorfriedberg.com.
